Samsung planning major re-branding operation

Samsung's blue and white logo could soon be a thing of the past if recent reports are to believed. ChannelNews is reporting that at the Consumer Electronics Show this coming January the Korean electronics giant will unveil “a more vibrant, international brand image.”

The brand developer who has worked on projects for Nike and Starbucks, Scott Bedbury, is said to be leading the re-branding team. Part of the process will include forgoing the classic blue logo and be replaced with “all new product marketing linked via their own individual colours that are part of an overall brand family.”

Their advertising push is also said to change, instead of taking obvious stabs at Apple, with “products linked to lifestyle activities similar to what Nike does.”

KitGuru says: We don't know anything else apart from this, but it will surely help push Samsung into the next generation of products.
