Latest DER8AUER rig at Gamescom 2016

You don't need to study Mechatronics at university in order to smash world records for overclocking but, in the case of Roman ‘DER8AUER' Hartung, mastering the theory behind overclocking looks to have helped: He's taken multiple records for PC performance. Now part of the CaseKing/OcUK team, he works with 8PACK to push the boundaries of what's possible for gamers everywhere.

At GamesCom 2016, DER8AUER gave KitGuru an intimate tour around his latest design. With a price tag in the region of €10,000, it's definitely targeted directly at customers who demand that the aesthetics of their system match the lightening fast performance that they experience in-game.

KitGuru says: Although GamesCom is primarily the place where serious gamers go to be first to play the next generation of gaming titles, there was a strong emphasis on hardware at this year's event. In the dimly lit halls, this rig caught our eye from some distance – and for good reason.
