AMD HD7770 & HD7750 Roundup: Sapphire, XFX and HIS

Aliens V Predator has proved to be a big seller since the release and Sega have taken the franchise into new territory after taking it from Sierra. AVP is a Direct X 11 supported title and delivers not only advanced shadow rendering but high quality tessellation for the cards on test today.

To test the cards we used a 1080p resolution with DX11, Texture Quality Very High, MSAA Samples 1, 16 af, ambient occulsion on, shadow complexity high, motion blur on. We use this with most of our graphics card testing so results are comparable throughout reviews.

This is a very intensive Direct X 11 game which demands a lot of power. The single HD7750 cards can't maintain smooth frame rates at these settings, dropping below the 20 fps mark from time to  time. The HIS HD7770 GHZ Ed IceQ X manages to maintain smooth frame rates, dropping to the borderline a few times during our testing.

When both solutions are configured into Crossfire, the results are much stronger. Two AMD HD7750's in Crossfire manage to outperform the high performance Nvidia GTX570 from the last generation.
