KFA2 GeForce GTX 580 Anarchy Edition SLI Review (1.536GB DDR5)

Battlefield 3 debuts the new Frostbite 2 engine. The updated Frostbite 2 engine can realistically portray the destruction of buildings and scenery to a greater extent than previous versions. Unlike previous iterations, the new version will be able to support dense urban areas.

We tested at 1080p and 1600p with the settings below.

Fantastic all round performance from this title at both 1080p and 1600p, with all the settings cranked. We decided to try with three monitors at 5760×1080 resolution. Texture quality was lowered to ‘high'.

We had some initial problems with this game on the two GTX580's, with juddering frame rates in some locations. We reinstalled the driver and it seemed to cure the problems. We have read of some issues on various forums, but it seemed to run well for us in the end.
