Powercolor HD6870 PCS++ Review

Yes, it is back in full force, the lightning quick Buggati Veyron is the highlight on the box for the Powercolor HD6870 PCS++ graphics card.

Inside we have literature on the product, a software disc, a crossfire connector and several video converters.

The cooler on this card looks quite eye catching, it looks like the bonnet (‘hood' to our American readers) of a car and there is a dramatic gold grill on the far left side. The fan is a 9 blade design and it rests over the heatsink and heatpipes underneath. It is built around a red PCB.

The card is Crossfire capable in 2,3 and 4 way configurations and it has two 6 pin PCI E power connectors.

The card offers dual DVI x2 connectors, an HDMI out and two mini displayport connectors.

The cooler is based around a copper core in the middle which links out via 3 heatpipes to two racks of aluminum fins on either side.

The Powercolor HD6870 PCS++ uses Elpida W1032BABG memory.
