Sapphire HD6870 Dual Fan Overclock Edition Review (with Dirt 3)

Today we are using the latest version of Sapphires excellent TriXX overclocking tool.

Giving the card a little extra voltage, helped to achieve a 1000mhz final core figure, or an overclock of 80mhz. This is a very impressive increase of almost 9% on a core which is already overclocked. The memory overclocked to 1129mhz, any higher and we started to get random graphic corruption.

The overclock added almost 400 extra points in 3DMark 11, a considerable performance boost. Unigine Heaven frame rates increased by 2.5, placing the card above the reference HD5870 in both tests.
