Kingston HyperX Predator 2666mhz Memory review (Z77)

To overclock we attempted to use the bios frequency settings, but had better success by increasing the BCLK/PEG Frequency.

The best result we could achieve was 2812mhz with a 105.5 BCLK/PEG frequency setting. We reduced the Core Ratio limit via the 3770k to '45' to get as close as possible to our original clock speed of 4.8ghz. We didn't have to loosen any of the memory settings to achieve 2812mhz.

We managed to increase further to 2,920mhz but had to loosen the memory timings once we overclocked past 2812mhz, this had a negative impact on the performance results.

Increasing voltage past 1.65 didn't have any noticeable effect on the HyperX Predator 2,666mhz memory.

Validation at 2812mhz 11-14-14-30 is available over here.

We recorded a further reduction in rendering time with our 3D Studio Max 2011 scene render, improving by 3 seconds.

A noticeable increase over the reference 2,666mhz speeds, improving to almost 26GB/s of bandwidth.

Yet again, some noticeable increases in performance when the memory is running at 2812mhz. This are the highest scores we have achieved yet in this particular benchmark.
