Intel 510 Series 120GB SSD Review

AS SSD is a great free tool designed just for benching Solid State Drives. It performs an array of sequential read and write tests, as well as random read and write tests with sequential access times over a portion of the drive. AS SSD includes a sub suite of benchmarks with various file pattern algorithms but this is difficult in trying to judge accurate performance figures.

The overall scores above show that the Intel 510 is having a tough time competing with the other leading market drives. Sequential read performance is great however, scoring 403.48MB/s. Sequential write is 198.67 MB/s. The overall scores highlighted in the graph above are lowered by the random 4k read and writes which are around 20 MB/s and 45 MB/s respectively.
