PC Specialist Vortex XT-270FB System Review

The PC Specialist Vortex XT-270FB system uses a combination of 120GB SSD as the boot drive and a 1TB mechanical drive for storage. This is a perfect way to set up a gaming system in this price sector.

This Kingston Hyper X SSD isn't the fastest drive on the market, but it offers solid all round performance, averaging around 270 MB with both sequential read and write tests. 4K performance is very strong.

Both 120GB SSD and 1TB Western Digital results via the Physical Disk benchmark in SiSoft Sandra.

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

The results from ATTO mirror those in the other benchmark programs, showing peak speeds around 280 MB/s.
