Default Max Payne 3: Debut Trailer

Let me start this off with a declaration: Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is my favourite game ever. I love it. I have played through it more times than any other game. I hereby abandon all attempts at objectivity for the duration of this article.

Max Payne
, an atmospheric third-person shooter, came out a decade ago and earned instant cult status. The game was ahead of its time. It was dark, full of memorable characters, conspiracies and betrayals.

Max Payne 2 ended with a message that had the fans ecstatic. After the final credit roll, one line appeared on the screen: “Max Payne’s journey through the night will continue”.

And then – nothing, for six long years.

Finally, in spring 2009, Rockstar announced that Max Payne 3 will be available the following winter. Three months later, they released several screenshots of the upcoming game. Oh, the horror…the horror.
