I think this is good news, the GTX480 has a lot of performance but apart from the price obviously, the temperatures and power drain seem to be the main talking point on forums.
This might help a bit, but I think the card needs a more significant drop in temps. one site I read a review on said theirs hit 100c. So the 485 will be 95c? or thereabouts? Imagine the ambient heat that is churning out inside a chassis, which affects CPU, ram temps etc. 5870 seems a SOOO much better buy right now. (5970 is too hot as well I think)
