Adobe admit network breached – urge password reset

Adobe Systems have admitted that their network has been breached and that customer details may have been lost. They say ‘the attackers may have obtained access to your Adobe ID and encrypted password.'

They add ‘We currently have no indication that there has been unauthorized activity on your account. If you have placed an order with us, information such as your name, encrypted payment card number, and card expiration date also may have been accessed. We do not believe any decrypted card numbers were removed from our systems. ‘

Adobe then recommend that you reset the password on your account, providing a link in the email they have sent out to their customer base.

They end their email saying they value the ‘trust of their customers' and will ‘work aggressively to prevent these types of events from occurring in the future.'
