Lenovo releasing slim Windows 8 ThinkPad S431

Lenovo have announced a new laptop to join the ThinkPad ranks – dubbed the S431. The new notebook has a multi finger touchscreen which opens to 180 degrees. The company have also included a huge touchpad and a backlit keyboard.

The ThinkPad S431 has incorporated a 14 inch screen into the modest 13 inch frame and the company are proud of the design, saying that it will help small businesses impress their customers while offering enough power to handle a myriad of duties.

The S431 will feature Intel's Core processors and up to 8GB of memory with a 500GB HDD or SSD. This is one of their first laptop computers to connect to the ThinkPad OneLink Dock with a single cable which can handle video, and offers gigabit Ethernet and extra USB 3.0 ports.

The US price has been set at $699 and it will be released in June. No confirmed UK pricing just yet.
