Research In Motion customers experience more problems

Research In Motion are investigating claims that some users are experiencing delays with their BlackBerry services. RIM have acknowledged that they are looking into the reports which seem to be affecting users in Europe, India, Africa and the Middle East.

The company updated their statement yesterday and said that services were operating normally within the EMEIA but did not provide details of what had caused the problem. This follows the more serious outage which lasted for four days across North America, Latin America and the EMEIA.

Reports have filtered in this week and the BlackBerry Instant Messenger hasn't been working properly for some users and that the services are very slow. Google have also recently announced that they were pulling the plug on a native application for BlackBerry. Support for this application ends on November 22nd. People will be able to use the program, but it won't be available for download from November 22nd, neither will it be supported.

Kitguru says: A rough year for Research In Motion. Sales are lower than expected and technical problems have damaged their standing with the business audience in the last month.
