Luxa2 TX-200 wireless dual phone charger review

The Luxa2 TX-200 is a gadget and, as such, deciding on whether to buy it or not is a very personal choice.

As the MD from a Luxa2 rival firm once told us, “It's all about how much you're prepared to spend in order to express yourself, your differences, your character”.

Personally, we love the wireless angle. This has to be the future. No one needs meter after meter of cable when you can just drop your device onto an ‘electrical hotspot' and pick up the juice you need.

Presumably, they will quickly be integrated into a host of products around the home.

The rubberised charging rings mean your device is less likely to slip off and smash on the kitchen floor and you have to say that the overall look is pretty stylish and won't look out of place in most homes/offices.

For backward devices, like older iPhones, it's nice to have the physical charging port but – in most cases – you're going to want to use this as Luxa2 intended – wirelessly.

It works and looks to be around £45 inc vat.

Pros

  • Looks good.
  • Charges in a sensible amount of time.
  • Less clutter.
  • Up to 3 phones can charge from 1 wall socket.

Cons

  • Availability is poor.

KitGuru Worth Buying

KitGuru says: We definitely think it's Worth Buying for a modern family with multi devices that are on the compatibility list. There is enough of an argument when you look at either pure wireless charging or the fact that 3 units can get juice at the same time.
