This guy tried to smuggle 94 iPhones in to China

A man has been arrested at the Chinese border for attempting to smuggle in 94 iPhones strapped to himself like body armour. The man was a Hong Kong citizen and had strapped the iPhones to himself in rings around his torso, crotch, thighs and calves using masking tape and plastic wrap.

The phones were obviously seized and obtained by customs officials. The newest iPhone models have been available to buy in China for a while now following Tim Cook's negotiations. However, iPhone smuggling is still common. Apparently this form of mobile body armour is a common tactic amongst smugglers and thieves.

The police managed to catch this man out after he was seen walking funny, with a weird posture and stiff joints.

As you can imagine, having 94 mobile phones strapped to yourself would add a bit of weight and impair mobility significantly.

KitGuru Says: Maybe 94 iPhones is a bit too much for one smuggler to carry.
