Dell Streak Review – ‘Ferrari red’ revisited with Android 2.2 (Froyo)

Rather than publishing 300 pictures of the new Android 2.2 (codename Froyo) operating system we thought it would be worthwhile showing some of the key interface enhancements compared to the last version we tested.

As many of our regular readers will be aware I am a fan of Apple iOS, however after using Froyo for several weeks, I don't miss it at all. Google have nailed this operating system. It is responsive, fully featured, stable and offers a fantastic user experience.

That said, even though there is a marketplace to buy and download software I did however still find myself missing the Apple store. There are so many programs to choose from on Apple's store that it is going to be hard for anything else to compete. To be fair, Android is improving all the time and not just with the user interface, but with the wealth of support being offered.
