Qualcomm quad core tablet priced at $1,300

Qualcomm have released their first quad core Snapdragon based tablet with a whopping price tag of $1,300. Not exactly targeting the mainstream market.

CNET Asia posted a picture of the new tablet, saying that the new tablet was firmly targeting the developer audience. The machine boosts a 10.1 inch WXGA screen running at 1366×720, with 2GB of system memory and a 13 megapixel rear facing camera.

The new tablet hosts the latest APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 quad core chip, which has been getting the industry excited.

The new S4 quad core chip is said to make an appearance in the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity tablet. Anandtech have some performance figures for the new processor, over here.

Kitguru says: $1,300 will be a tough sell, even with the cutting edge processor on board.
