MSI GS70 2OD-Stealth 17.3 inch Laptop Review

We test the USB 3.0 performance on the MSI system with one of our fastest portable flash drives – the Patriot SuperSonic Magnum 256GB. We reviewed this back in February, check it out over here.

Performance via the USB 3.0 controller is very strong, peaking at over 316 MB/s in the read test. We couldn't get the final test to complete as the software would conflict with Norton's PC Checkup – which we mentioned earlier in the review.

The ATTO DiskBenchmark scores the drive slightly lower, as shown above – peaks around 270 MB/s read and around 60 MB/s write.
