PSU prices to rise by 10%

Our sources in the Far East tell us that Taiwan based PSU makers are going to raise the price of PSU's by a whopping 10%. Delta Electronics CEO Yancey Hai has confirmed that the company has already raised prices to transfer some costs to the consumer.

An Acbel spokesperson told the press that system makers are actually waiting for power supplies, particularly products for servers due to the massive influx of cloud computing.

Taiwan product 80% of the worlds power supplies used in notebooks with figures around 50% for desktop PCs. Our advice? If you are thinking about a new PSU, get it now.
