Apple seeking iWatch trademark in Japan

Apple have filed a trademark application for the term ‘iWatch' in Japan. This basically confirms that Apple will be releasing a new ‘wearable' computing device in the near future.

Many companies have released a ‘smartwatch' this year with the big players such as Google, Samsung, Microsoft and Apple waiting in the wings to release their products.

According to the Patent office, the trademark was filed on June 3th. The Economic Times reported “The application is under examination process for approval, which in general takes some four to five months.”
