Asus ROG GX700 Watercooled Laptop Review

For idle power draw, a reading was taken after having Windows open on the desktop for 30 minutes. A reading under load was taken while Prime95 and 3DMark Fire Strike ran simultaneously.

For a laptop, the GX700 draws a fair amount of power when undocked. Docked, it draws more than some gaming desktops would – suggesting the overclock and the watercooling gear requires some serious power.

Still, if you are buying a GX700, power consumption is probably very low down your list of priorities for a laptop, so it is not really a problem at all.
