MSI X460 Laptop Review (Core i7)

To test the battery today we put the machine through three sets of ‘real world' situations. One as a media movie lover on the move (wearing headphones), a person wanting to watch high definition media on a train journey or bus with two thirds screen brightness. Wireless and all other networking was disabled.

Secondly as a business man, using the machine for productivity with wireless enabled and balanced power settings with a mid way (around half) brightness setting – this is actually just about useable on the X460.

Thirdly as a gamer on the move with screen brightness up high.

The X460 battery life is really impressive especially under general ‘light' conditions. We managed to eek around 7 hours and 30 minutes from the machine which is better than we expected, even if it is a little short of the 8 hour claim from MSI.
