Nokia rumoured to be launching a Windows Phone 7.8 device

While many eyes and ears are currently set on Nokia's Windows Phone devices that will be announced this Wednesday or the impending iPhone 5 announcement, the latest rumours are hinting at a Windows Phone 7.8 device. Indeed, this is the version of Windows Phone that would be used to cheer up existing owners but it could be a way of capturing some of the valuable low-end Android market.

Nokia could soon announce a Lumia 610 successor.

The device is currently know as the ‘Glory' and is set be the successor of Nokia's current low-end device, the Lumia 610. It is said to feature a 4 inch, 480×800 resolution display, an 800 MHz processor likely to be from the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 family and 256 MB of RAM. This last additions means that the device's access to the Marketplace will be impacted.

It is apparent that the ‘Glory' will not be unveiled at Nokia's press event later this week but it is said it'll be available for the holiday season.

KitGuru says: While I question the use of Windows Phone 7.8, if it is cheap, we'd be willing to say it'll sell well.
