More rumours point towards Sony Xperia Z5 release date

Recently we heard that Sony was preparing to launch an Xperia Z5 smartphone as soon as September this year and now we have a bit more to the story. Sony has two devices in the works, codenamed the S60 (Xperia Z5) and the Xperia S70, which will be the Xperia Z5 Compact.

Both new smartphones from Sony are currently tipped to be revealed at the IFA 2015 event in Berlin, which takes place from the 4th of September until the 9th. According to WinFuture, both smartphones will be high end, coming in at around £550 each. They will also be available in a variety of colours, including white, black, gold, green and yellow.

Both smartphones will come with 32GB of internal storage as a standard, which will hopefully encourage other smartphone makers to follow suit as mobile space requirements have become much more demanding in recent years.

For now, this is all rumour as none of the information has been confirmed. However, Sony did run in to heat issues with the Xperia Z3+ which launched earlier this year, so it would make sense for the company to try and push out something new to the market.
