Samsung confirms white Galaxy Nexus is coming

Have you been wishing the Galaxy Nexus was available in all white attire? Good news, you won't have to wait for much longer at all, as Samsung have just confirmed that the HSPA+ version of this 4.65-inch sized Android 4.0 running phone will be coming to UK retailer stores as early as next week – February 13th to be exact.

Apart from the color change the phone keeps its lovely feature set including a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, that superb 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display sporting a 1280x720p resolution and a choice of 16 or 32GB of internal storage. Then there's all those other niceties such as the redesigned user interface with improved multi-tasking thanks to Ice Cream Sandwich, NFC support, WiFi hotspot and ‘Face Unlock', using facial recognition to unlock the phone.

Managing director of Samsung Mobile's UK and IRE Telecommunications and Networks Division said in a press release, “After much speculation, we are pleased to announce the availability of the Galaxy Nexus White which follows the great reception the phone has received since it was launched back in November. One of the things we at Samsung pride ourselves on is the choice we offer customers, and we've enjoyed huge success to date by introducing white variants of our most popular models to our product portfolio“.

KitGuru says: While it ain't my cup of tea, white smart phones look to be all the rage these days with Nokia also having just announced its Lumia 800 in white.
