The Streak ships with a 5.661 Whr (1530mAh) removable battery which is around 8% percent bigger than the iPhone 4 equivalent. Last time we found battery performance to be fantastic so we decided to give it another run through to see if it was worse or better with Froyo 2.2.
It is important to note that for these times Wi-Fi needs to be disabled. Wi-Fi eats the batteries of these phones regardless of the manufacturer. The Dell Streak outperforms even the ‘long life' Nokia E71 which was surprising with the last review, but not so much this time. Again to retest this multiple times takes a very long time, and we only managed the one run before the review. The Curve came up last, just over 3 days in this low performance mode.
We noticed a very slight improvement with Froyo 2.2, around 10 minutes extra, so we would assume there have been some under the hood improvements with the code relating to battery life.
