AC RYAN VEOLO Android Media Streamer Review

The VEOLO arrives in a very artistically designed box with the name on the front. It is a very similar aesthetic design to Sony products we have seen recently.

The little VEOLO device is protected underneath a tough plastic shroud at the top of the box.

The bundle is excellent. There is a multi language user manual, which covers the basics. There are a set of batteries for the controller, the controller itself, a quality HDMI cable and an adapter to power the main device.

The little remote is ‘double sided' offering a main set of operations for everyday use, and a keyboard on the reverse side, ideal for browsing and entering log in information for networked drives. This ‘3 in 1' remote controller has a wireless pointer system which moves a cursor on screen with your hand movements.

The QWERTY keyboard is just big enough to be useful, although you won't be typing at anything close to full speed. It is ideal for keying in short URL addresses in the browser. If you look closely you will see a navigation pad which can be used for moving up and down the menu systems. We also like the volume keys on the remote, this is very convenient.

The sleeved HDMI cable is worth a mention, as AC RYAN have always bundled in a quality cable with their products.

It isn't immediately apparent how to open the remote to insert the batteries, but there is a little flip out section which contains both batteries. Just be careful to insert them in the correct way or it won't work.

The power supply is an enclosed plug unit rated 5V – 2.4A.
