Roccat KONE Pure Inferno Orange Review

ROCCAT has done a great job on the limited edition Kone Pure Inferno Orange. The build quality is solid and the coating offers a great balance between grip and reducing sweaty hands.

Tracking performance was excellent and the Kone Pure always picked up on our every movement.  The option to calibrate the Kone Pure to different surfaces also helps to future proof it if you have been thinking about changing your mouse pad or desk.

The compatibility issue we ran into is one that we expect to be resolved through an update and does not degrade the Kone Pure's performance. However, we do feel it is something to keep in mind at this moment in time if you heavily rely on keyboard macros.

At the end of the day it is the impressive software suite, excellent tracking performance and interesting color scheme that make the ROCCAT Kone Pure a solid investment for £58.51 inc vat.

Pros:

  • Solid build quality.
  • Excellent tracking performance.
  • Different color schemes stand out in a mostly black and grey sector.
  • In-depth customization through drivers.

Cons:

  • Compatibility issue with some software suites.
  • Placement of the DPI buttons.
  • No visual indication of selected DPI settings.

KitGuru says: A solid mouse in a highly competitive sector. The available colour schemes and in-depth customization help the ROCCAT Kone Pure stand out amidst the competition.
