The Playon! HD Essential arrives in a stylish blue box with the size of the hard drive marked clearly on the front. There is a 2 year warranty also offered on these products.

Inside the Essential is protected inside a soft felt wrapper, which is sandwiched between two styrofoam pads.

The bundle contains multilanguage literature on the product, a remote with batteries, composite analog cables and a power adapter. I was disappointed to notice the omission of an HDMI cable, as all previous A.C. Ryan bundles we have received have included one.

The remote is branded with the A.C. Ryan name on the front and it is substantially smaller than the other models we have reviewed.
