Our overall impressions of the Turtle Beach Ear Force Z6A are very positive.  It is probably the most comfortable dedicated surround sound headset that we've ever tested thanks to it's light weight and well designed earpads and headband.  The combination of materials used to finish the headset gives it an exciting appearance that is likely to appeal to a wide range of gamers. It isn't gaudy or over-styled either.

There are a couple of minor negative points we have against the headset, though.  Firstly, you can only use it with a PC due to the sheer number of connections required to hook it up.  This is the price we have to pay for dedicated surround sound support, however.  The other problem we have with the Ear Force Z6A is that you need a special adapter to let you use it with an Xbox 360.  It wouldn't be too much to ask to include this in the box.

Performance is definitely the most impressive aspect of this headset thanks to the dedicated surround sound support.  This really improves the overall gaming experience as it improves sound directionality.  This feature also enhances the experience when watching a movie.

At a price of around £80, the Turtle Beach offers reasonable value for money as it offers top notch performance in a quality package.  We do feel that more budget restricted users should consider a virtual surround headset like the SteelSeries Siberia V2 USB, though, as it can be used with mobile devices too.  This saves money as a single headset will support all devices.
