Corsair Flash Survivor GTR 32GB USB Flash Drive review

While this drive works in a USB3.0 port, it doesn't offer any enhanced speeds over USB 2.0 standards … not a particularly big issue right now as the new standard has been slow to catch on anyway.

For our testing we combine a mixture of synthetic and ‘real world' tests to give an overall performance view of each of the drives. We disabled Windows indexing and ensured the system was not active during our benchmarks – all tests were undertaken 3 times and median averages recorded for the final result. We copied files from our 2TB storage drive back and forward to the USB drives to measure performance.

As our testing has proved, the Corsair Flash Survivor drive is lightning quick, saturating the USB 2.0 bus. The performance when writing is outstanding and easily bests the older technology from the same company.
