Arctic Hobby Remote Control – discover your inner kid

The designs are diverse, but is the power train different?

“Nope, all the same engine. Much easier for construction and support”, explained Yun.

We can see people really getting into this, either solo or in mob battles. So how long can you play with these vehicles ?

“Alongside the remote control vehicles, we also produce our own rechargeable batteries. These can be recharged over 500 times and a set of batteries will fuel your vehicle for about 35 minutes”, said Yun.

KitGuru has a long history with component failure (we just love testing products to their limits – and beyond), so we asked Timothy what additional features the vehicles have and what will cause a problem.

“Well, the Fire Engine has a water tank and can shoot remotely as well. Overall, the vehicles are not water resistant, but normal amounts of dirt have little effect on the Tank, for example”, said Yun.

These vehicles also have some practical applications, “While we don't recommend attacking pets or people, if you find that a neighbour's dog is making himself too much at home in your garden, then the Fire Engine has a great siren sound alongside the water gun. That should prove a deterrent”.

All good on the ground, but what about taking to the skies?

“There is a Sky Rider series being developed alongside the Land Riders.

These are really fun and take some skill to control”, said Yun.

Arctic Hobby Remote Control Vehicles. Can you dig it?

During the interview, Timothy also told us that Arctic has plans for Power, Sound, Equipment and Hobby – alongside the original Arctic Cooling. “There's one more to add for 2011”, said Yun, “Arctic Living. You can see that at our next exhibition”.

KitGuru said: Great fun, we seriously can't wait. Looking forward to bringing you more on these fun products in the near future.
