Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 -the controversial Terrorist Airport shooting (tasteless or pure 'escapism'?)

The Call Of Duty series is no stranger to controversy, with previous outings coming under attack for various ‘tasteless' scenes. Parents were up in arms over the famous terrorist shooting in the airport which was included in Modern Warfare 2.

Modern Warfare 3 apparently starts with a Russian invasion of Brooklyn – tying in with Modern Warfare 2. The game takes players to more than 12 new locations around the world for special ops tactics and various high octane battles.

The game was initially said to be developed by award winning Infinity Ward, but legal issues with publisher Activision have led to Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software being placed on the development team.

KitGuru says: Call Of Duty as a franchise is one of the most successful in the history of gaming. Modern Warfare 3 is due out in November for Sony Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, with a PC game also planned for Microsoft Windows systems.
