Logitech debuts G502 Proteus Core adjustable gaming mouse

If you thought your mouse was customisable, wait till you get a load of this one. Logitech's new G502 Proteus is designed to take a gamers personal preferences and fine tune them down to an exact science of weight distribution, balance and precision. At least in theory.

In the release trailer – which still seems grandiose for a mouse – we see the in-depth weight layout customiser, offering not only different weights, but different placement, letting you front load it, or even give it a bit of a gangster lean if that's your preference.

Other features include a a dual mode scroll wheel, offering single scroll precision, or hyper faster scrolling, on the fly DPI shift, onboard LED indicators, 11 programmable buttons for macro or shortcut options and of course, its sensor has a ridiculous DPI: 200 all the way up to 12,000.

There's also a one milisecond report rate, mechanical microswitches used in the two main buttons, giving you over 20 million clicks of life in each, a braided cable because it looks better and rubber thumb and finger grips for the claw grippers out there.

Stock for the G502 is expected to land later this month, with a suggested retail price of £70.
