Intel Arc A770 embargo reportedly lifts on October 5th

It has been months since Intel unveiled the Arc A770 and A750 graphics cards and we have yet to see an official launch date. However, new reports indicate that Intel is finally ramping things up. Apparently, the first A770 unboxings will go live from Friday, while the first reviews will go live next week.

According to VideoCardz, unboxing videos for the Intel Arc A770 graphics card on Friday, September 30th, at 9:00 am EDT (2:00 pm BST). The first reviews will then go up on Wednesday, October 5th, also at 9:00 am EDT (2:00 pm BST). Unfortunately, the A750 is not mentioned, so we don't know if that GPU will be launching at the same time.

There is some reason to be confident in this date, as Intel has begun asking for winners of its Scavenger Hunt to update their shipping information, indicating that prizes (like Arc graphics cards) will be shipping out soon.

Intel is hosting its Innovation event later this week. We expect to see the 13th Gen Core desktop processors, and now based on this news, it appears Arc desktop graphics cards will be there too.

KitGuru says: After numerous delays and issues, the Intel Arc A700 series is finally launching. The timing isn't ideal though, as Nvidia and AMD are also launching new graphics cards over the next couple of months.
