Seasonic launches new ATX 3.0 power supplies just in time for new-gen graphics cards

The RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards are launching soon, supporting the new ATX 3.0 power standard. As a result, these new GPUs require new power cables. Adapters will be available for users with older PSUs, but for those looking to make the jump to the new standard, Seasonic will have you covered with a new range of ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 compliant power supplies.

The new Seasonic Vertex series of power supplies are built for ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 standards. The new power supplies ship with the 12VHPWR cable, which you can hook straight up to an RTX 4090 or RTX 4080 graphics card, as well as future GPUs that support the new standard.

Seasonic's Vertex power supplies, come in 1200W, 1000W, 850W and 750W models, in both 80+ Platinum and Gold efficiency options. All units are fully modular, so you only need to plug in the cables you need. They are cooled by a 135mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan with Hybrid Silent Fan control to keep noise to a minimum, and they include a full suite of protection features, including OPP, OVP, UVP, SCP, OCP and OTP.
