Bungie already has some changes planned based on Destiny 2’s beta feedback so far

The Destiny 2 beta has been live for a couple of days now and during that time, Bungie has been keeping a close eye on fan feedback. While there is still more to come before the end of the week, Bungie has already outlined a few key changes it will be making to the final game based on Beta feedback.

Writing in Bungie's weekly blog, Destiny 2 producer, Jared Berbach, said that the beta has been “amazingly helpful” so far. The beta's lead designer, Rob Engeln then jumped in, saying: “Aside from testing our processes and services, the Beta is also an opportunity for us to collect feedback and data to help us close out the final tuning for the game. We’re watching and playing with you”.

As for what changes we can expect, Bungie has started by addressing PvE, noting that ammo will be less scarce in the final game, especially power ammo. In the final game, a system will be in place that guarantees power ammo drops for the fire team when fighting certain enemies, which should make some of the bigger boss battles less of a slog. Some tuning has also been made to things like grenade effectiveness against bosses and weapon damage against NPCs.

PvP wasn't specifically mentioned this week, but the beta isn't over yet so we should hear more on that front next week once Bungie has had a chance to look at all the data from this week's testing.

KitGuru Says: These changes mainly affect console players, once the beta lands on PC in August, we can expect to hear about specific balance changes for mouse/keyboard wielders.
