Philips launches dual-wireless TAG gaming headset

Philips is expanding its gaming portfolio further this month with the introduction of the new Philips TAG gaming headset. Combining 50mm drivers with dual wireless capabilities at an affordable price point.

The Philips TAG5106 gaming headset includes a dual wireless system, so you can connect it over a 2.4GHz connection or via Bluetooth, so you can use it with your PC for gaming, and also take it on the go with an easy connection to mobile. Under the ear cups, you'll find 50mm drivers, which are enhanced through DTS HeadphoneX: 2.0, delivering 7.1 virtual surround sound.

In terms of battery life, the headset impresses on paper, with a rating for up to 45 hours of use on a single charge. Energy consumption can differ depending on which wireless technology you are using, so expect that number to differ while using over 2.4GHz on a PC. There is a detachable noise-cancelling microphone included with the headset too, so you can unplug it while taking the headphones on the go.

The Philips TAG5106 is available starting this month, priced at £74.99.
