AOC unveils the AGON AG273FCZE, a 27-inch 240Hz monitor

AOC China has unveiled its latest addition to the AGON monitor family, with product details posted on its website. The monitor is the AOC AGON AG273FCZE, a 27-inch curved display with a whopping 240Hz refresh rate.

The VA panel used in this monitor has a curvature of 1500R, a resolution of 1920 x 1080p, and an MPRT response time of 0.5ms, thanks to the motion blur reduction backlight that comes with the display.

The pre-calibrated 8-bit panel, with a claimed deltaE<2, has a contrast ratio is 3000:1, typical from VA panels, while the maximum brightness is 300cd/m². Additionally, the display is rated to cover 120% of the sRGB colour space, with 90% DCI-P3 and 98% NTSC coverage.

With its Adaptive Sync support, active between 48-240Hz, AMD and Nvidia cards should both be able to enjoy a tear-free gaming experience. There's also FlickerFree and Low Blue Light technologies, for the health of the user's eyes.

Although this screen can handle HDR10 content, the maximum brightness and the lack of local dimming means that there won't be a significant difference when that same content is visualised, according to TFTCentral.

Regarding the connectivity interfaces, there's 2x HDMI ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, an audio output, and 1x D-Sub VGA port. The monitor can tilt (-5 ° ∼ 23 °), swivel (± 30º), and adjust its height by 110mm. It also has a 75x75mm VESA for alternative stands.

On the back of the monitor, there's an LED ring with 13 individual lights, each with over 100K colours, and on the right side, a bracket for hanging a headset.

There's no information on the monitor's availability and pricing, yet.
