Corsair launches MP400 NVMe SSD with up to 8TB capacity

Corsair is expanding its SSD line-up this week with the brand new MP400 Gen3 PCIe x4 NVMe M.2 SSD. This time around, Corsair is utilising 3D QLC NAND technology, enabling high capacities and fast speeds.

The Corsair MP400 will be available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacities to start off with, but a whopping 8TB version is also on the way. As you would expect, all of these MP400 variants use the M.2 2280 standard form factor, so it'll slot into pretty much any modern motherboard.

In terms of performance, you can expect speeds of up to 3400MB/s sequential read and 3000MB/s sequential write. Performance will differ slightly depending on the capacity of the drive though.

Like all Corsair SSDs, the MP400 comes with support for Corsair SSD Toolbox, a software tool that enables firmware updates and secure erasure of data. Corsair has tested the new MP400 to ensure it can withstand up to 1,600TB written before any issues creep up. If you do encounter problems, there is also a five-year warranty in place.

Pricing starts at £124.99 for the 1TB model and goes all the way up to £1,344.99 for the 8TB model.

KitGuru Says: Are many of you in the market for a new M.2 SSD? Price-wise, the 1TB drive seems quite reasonable in my opinion.
