GPU benchmarks return to Cinebench

Maxon has launched a new version of Cinebench. Cinebench 2024 is the latest version of the famous benchmarking software, embracing cutting-edge technology to provide artists, designers, and creators with a more accurate and relevant representation of their hardware's capabilities.

By embracing the capabilities of Redshift, Cinema 4D's default rendering engine, Cinebench 2024 can now once again test your CPU and GPU, using the same render algorithms and scene to benchmark both. The transition to the Redshift engine guarantees that performance testing is in sync with the needs of current creative processes, giving accurate and consistent findings.

Cinebench 2024 is intended to support a wider variety of machine configurations. It supports x86/64 architecture (Intel/AMD) on Windows and macOS, as well as Arm64 architecture to expand its reach to Apple silicon on macOS and Snapdragon silicon on Windows, ensuring compatibility with the most recent hardware. Redshift GPU performance may be tested on PCs equipped with Nvidia, AMD, or Apple graphics processors.

The Cinebench 2024 benchmark also comes with some visual changes, including a redesigned UI that improves the user experience and highlights the great creative endeavours accomplished with Cinema 4D's Redshift render engine. This dynamic interface demonstrates the Redshift engine's capabilities while providing users with a more natural and appealing interface.

It's important to remember that Cinebench 2024 results cannot be directly compared to Cinebench R23 results. Cinebench 2024 is now available for download on the Maxon website and it is free.

KitGuru says: With a new Cinebench out, it shouldn't take long before this new version becomes a standard for reviewers.
