With over 100 of the world’s leading technology journalists voting for their favourite products of the year, the European Hardware Awards is a truly unique event. As the virtual ceremony for our 9th annual awards is broadcast to the world, we’re proud to announce this year’s winners.

The European Hardware Awards 2023 began with a meeting of the members back in January, to decide on nominations. We then completed a full analysis of the products that had been launched, tested and rated by experts working for members of the European Hardware Association. The initial list was reduced to a list of deserving finalists, which you can see here. After the final votes were counted and checked, the awards themselves were produced and the winners announced at a special ceremony in the W Hotel in Taipei, on the eve of Computex 2023.

The member publications of the European Hardware Association have together produced well over half a million articles. The individual tests required to create those features, number in the millions. It’s that wealth of experience that makes the EHA uniquely qualified to judge the very best hardware on sale in Europe.

As of May 2023, the members include Geeknetic from Spain, HardwareLuxx from Germany, Hardware Info from the Netherlands, PurePC from Poland, io-tech from the Nordics, Hardware Upgrade from Italy, CowCotLand from France, Lab 501 from Romania and, of course, KitGuru from the UK.

Now that the extensive nomination and voting phases are over: It’s time to announce this year’s winners!

KitGuru says: Congratulations to the winners!

KitGuru has been testing the latest PC hardware, writing independent reviews and offering expert buying advice for more than 12 years. In 2022, an average of more than 2.5 million readers will come to our web site every month, looking for the information they need to help them make the best purchase for their needs. Alongside visitors to our main site, over 400,000 of you follow us across the various social media platforms and around 150,000 are subscribed to our YouTube channel. We've now published more than 40,000 articles, based on the results of well over 100,000 tests.

Once a year, we ask our team to use the vast experience that they have accumulated, in order to pick out the products they believe have been the best this year. Today we reveal the winners of the KitGuru Editorial Awards 2022!

It's worth bearing in mind that our team includes specialists who have run graphics for a national newspaper and aeronautical engineers who have worked in the Rolls Royce engine team. As well as that real-world grounding, they have also dedicated years of their lives to investigating, evaluating and understanding leading edge hardware. They arrive at their conclusions through extensive testing that is always methodical, scientific and completely impartial. Why is that so important? Because we want to provide you – our reader – with the very best buying advice possible.

It's worth noting that the huge price disparity you can see with some product categories means that, occasionally, the best choice might not be the very latest product released. While processing power is attractive, we always have one eye on value. Our categories range from CPUs to GPUs, from motherboards to memory. You can click on the image to check pricing and availability.

When we managed to secure a £4000 PC as the incentive for this year's reader awards, we knew that it would encourage you to enter – and boy did it work! We had thousands and thousands of surveys completed, letting us know which products and manufacturers impressed you the most in 2021. We have cross-checked the votes and we're now ready to announce your winners!

The 39 categories that we ask you about in the survey are always hotly contested, and winning a category more than two years in a row is incredibly rare. That said, it can happen from time to time. The CPU preference trend is still firmly in AMD's favour and it will be interesting to see if that continues into 2022. The same goes for graphics, with the majority of you favouring RTX-flavoured GPUs.

As ever, your local votes have been fed into the EHA Community Awards and those will be announced in the coming days.

For now, these winners have been chosen by the KitGuru Hive Mind – so have a look through and see which choices match your own preferences!

KitGuru says: A big THANK YOU to everyone who took part – we really appreciate you taking the time to enter and your feedback is really valuable to our editorial team!

The nature of the EHA Awards is truly unique. Well over 100 of Europe's top technology journalists come together to make their choices for the very best hardware on sale across the continent in 2021. Normally announced at a special ceremony in Taipei, on the eve of Computex, this year's event was held online – but everyone is hoping for a return to Taiwan for 2022!

The nominations process began at the start of the year, with a full analysis of the products that had been launched, tested and rated by experts working for members of the European Hardware Association. The initial list was reduced to a list of deserving finalists, which you can see here. After the final votes were counted and checked, the awards themselves were produced and the winners announced on Monday 31st May 2021.

Founded seven years ago, the member publications of the European Hardware Association have together produced well over half a million articles. The individual tests required to create those features, number in the millions. It's that wealth of experience that makes the EHA uniquely qualified to judge the vest best hardware on sale in Europe and to develop intuitive, large-scale research campaigns that yield genuine insight into the market.

As of May 2021, the members include Tweakers from the Netherlands, io-tech from the Nordics, Hardware Upgrade from Italy, Geeknetic from Spain, CowCotLand from France, PurePC from Poland, Lab 501 from Romania, HardwareLuxx from Germany and – of course – KitGuru from the UK.

The consideration, nomination and voting processes are over and it's time to announce this year's winners!

Ahead of the 8th European Hardware Awards that will be presented to the world on Monday 31st May 2021, over 100 specialist editors from EHA publications across the region have been deciding on a definitive list of the best hardware available in the market. Work on that list of nominations has now been completed and we’re ready to announce the finalists to the world!

In terms of scope and expertise, no editorial survey comes close to the one that the EHA runs to find the Best of the Best. Now in its seventh year, the EHA Awards 2021 promises to be a truly unique event.

In light of the on-going issues with the pandemic, on Monday 31st May 2021, there will be a special online ceremony to announce winners of the European Hardware Awards 2021, with vendors, distributors, resellers and manufacturers all tuned in to find out who wins. Due to the massive move to online working, gaming and entertainment, this year we have also added a new category specifically for streaming hardware for the first time, but the core categories remain largely untouched.

Thousands of products have been considered and we are now down to the ‘chosen few’. Voting has begun in all 43 categories, as our editorial teams decide which products are the best of the best on sale in Europe today.

Here are the finalists being considered by the editorial teams of the European Hardware Association:

Update: The survey is now closed and we can announce a winner for the ZBox Magnus One… Tim B! Congratulations Tim, and thanks to all who filled in the survey.

Once a year, we ask  you, our readers, to tell us what's hot and what's not in our unique KitGuru Reader Survey. This year, Zotac has offered up a stunning prize for one lucky participant to win: a very special ‘barebones' PC that comes complete with an Intel Core i7-10700 processor and an Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics card – which is about as rare as it gets these days. This PC is worth £1,300 and one lucky winner will be gaming on it before the end of May!

For your chance to win this amazing prize, we encourage you to spend 5 minutes sharing your thoughts about PC hardware in our reader survey. You'll have the chance to enter your details for the prize draw at the end, but you don't have to.

KitGuru works hard to deliver the content you love – and this survey helps us understand what you really want to read more about. Remember: You can answer as many or as few questions as you like – so feel free to skip any bits that are not relevant for you.

You can do the survey on a smartphone – but it is much quicker/easier on a PC/laptop!

To enter, just click here or on the image of the ZOTAC ZBOX MAGNUS ONE… and remember, this comes with an RTX 3070!

KitGuru says: We really appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey. You can answer as few or as many questions as you like. We will stop counting on 2nd of May and announce the winner within 14 days. Don’t worry, your contact info won't be stored longer than necessary for us to pick a winner. You can enter from anywhere. Good luck!

No other award takes into account the individual preferences of so many hardware enthusiasts, early adopters and influencers from across the European continent. After extensive voting, the results are in. The nominated products are based on what EHA publication's readers are buying and that massive audience has now selected what they believe to be the best of the best in each category. Whatever technology you are thinking of buying, it's well worth you adding in the winners below to your short-list before you decide!

Reaching well over 20 million technology buyers, no other survey comes close to capturing the collective wisdom of the people when it comes to the deciding the ‘Best of the Best’ in the technology sector. The community itself has been built over many, many years through the hard work and dedication of the various EHA member publications. Hundreds of thousands of expert articles, backed up by millions of individual tests, have been written and published by:-

  • KitGuru (UK)
  • Tweakers (NL)
  • io-Tech (Nordics)
  • HardwareLuxx (Germany)
  • Lab 501 (Romania)
  • PurePC (Poland)
  • GEEKNETIC (Spain)
  • Cowcotland (France)
  • Hardware Upgrade (Italy)

As well as showcasing the best hardware being sold in Europe today, the European Hardware Association Community Awards 2020 also help provide the EHA with ‘deep data’ about what the market is thinking. Understanding what our community believes to be important, is vital when it comes to ensuring we continue to deliver the news, reviews and articles that they most want to read.

We don’t limit votes to the member countries of the EHA. Because most languages carry across borders, the full list of countries that have participated in these awards over the past couple of years is huge.

You will find the complete list of winners below.

The results are in – Europe has spoken!

As always, we've had a huge response to our annual reader awards. We really appreciate you all taking the time to complete our survey and let us know which products, technologies and companies most impressed you this year. With the polls closed, votes tabulated and logos created – we're now ready to announce the winners in all 39 categories – as selected by you!

Looking back at the results from the last four year's surveys, we're seeing definite patterns – certainly when it comes to which CPU/GPU you're likely to choose for your next system. The clearest movement of all is the one from Intel to AMD processors among professional users and gamers alike.

Among the more predictable winners are a series of mini-surprises – caused by the sheer volume of KitGuru readers making their own, independent choices. All of your votes will also feed (anonymously) into the EHA Community Award results, which will be announced shortly.

Check through these categories and see if the ‘KitGuru Hive Mind' matches your own personal preferences and choices.

The list of nominations for the KitGuru Reader Awards 2020 has been finalised and voting starts now. This year has seen so many new product announcements – with huge improvements in performance. Lockdown has changed the way that many companies think and many vendors are reporting a huge increase in sales as people across the globe re-evaluate ‘working from home'. You've read our opinions – now we want to know yours!

Filling in the whole survey can take less than 5 minutes, but you don't have to answer every question – only those where you have a strong opinion. At the end of the survey, you can choose to leave your email address for a chance to win an amazing screen from Philips.

If you're serious about gaming, then the Philips Momentum display would be perfect for your living room or gaming den. This 55″ screen provides 4K resolution at up to 120Hz refresh (with a DisplayPort connection), excellent contrast ratio, impressive colour accuracy out of the box and DisplayHDR 1000 certified visual technology to give you detail in the darkness.

No other technology awards bring together over 100 of Europe's top journalists to decide on the very best hardware being sold across the continent, in quite the same way as the EHA Awards. Today we announce the winners.

Now in its sixth year, the 2020 ceremony is a little different, because the global pandemic means that Computex unfortunately did not go ahead at the end of May. Instead, the awards were announced online, alongside the latest summary from the EHA Pan-European Hardware Purchase Intention Survey 2020/21.

The nominations process began at the start of the year, with a full analysis of the products that had been launched, tested and rated by experts working for members of the European Hardware Association. The initial list was reduced to a list of deserving finalists, which you can see here. After the final votes were counted and checked, the awards themselves were produced and the winners were announced at 7pm on Thursday 25th June 2020.

Founded six years ago, the member publications of the European Hardware Association have together produced close to 400,000 articles. The individual tests required to create those features number in the millions. It's that wealth of experience that makes the EHA uniquely qualified to judge the very best hardware on sale in Europe and to develop intuitive, large-scale research campaigns that yield genuine insight into the market.

As of June 2020, the members include KitGuru from the UK, PurePC from Poland, Geeknetic from Spain, CowCotLand from France, io-tech from the Nordics, Lab 501 from Romania, Hardware Upgrade from Italy, Hardware. Info from the Netherlands and HardwareLuxx from Germany.

The consideration, nomination and voting processes are over.

It's time to announce the winners!

KitGuru says: Congratulations to the winners!

In terms of scope and expertise, no editorial survey comes close to the one that the EHA runs to find the Best of the Best. Now in its sixth year, the EHA Awards 2020 promises to be a truly unique event.

On Thursday 25th June, at a special online ceremony, the winners of the European Hardware Awards 2020 will be revealed to a global audience.

Vendors, distributors, resellers and manufacturers will all get the results at the same time. The process by which products enter the nomination process, are analysed and voted for – is explained in detail over here. Thousands of products have been considered and we are now down to the ‘chosen few’.

Voting is underway in 42 categories, as our editorial teams decide which products are the best on sale in Europe today.

We thank the thousands of KitGuru readers who took the time to vote in this year's reader awards – we really appreciated it!  The numbers have now been tabulated and the winners, across 39 categories, have been selected by you.

We're seeing definite trends in the data provided by the votes, not least of which is the continuous movement of enthusiasts, early adopters and influencers from Intel to AMD.

Like last year, the company that won the opening award – created a bookmark moment by winning the last award on the list. It will be interesting to see if your personal opinions match up to the hive-mind's selections.

Remember, your votes are still hard at work, feeding into the EHA awards that will be announced soon.

For now, here are the products that KitGuru readers have deemed to be the very best on offer!

The post KitGuru Reader Awards 2018: Winners Announced! first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
Over 12,000 technology enthusiasts and influencers voted in the KitGuru Reader Awards 2018 and – for that – we thank you all! There were 37 categories available and we wanted to know which brands and technologies you felt were the best on offer in each and every one.  The votes are now in and you have made your decision!

2018 has been an interesting year. Intel and AMD have launched new processors, the cost of a large scale SSD has dropped and the most eagerly anticipated graphics technology for a long time has finally arrived in the market.

Your choices for components, peripherals and devices like headphones, speakers and smartphones show that KitGuru readers are not afraid of the price tag when it comes to creating their ideal system. Getting the right specification and feature set is far more important.

In an ironic twist, the 37 awards shown below have the same company at the start and end – like a perfectly balanced pair of high-tech bookends.

Your votes will carry forward into the EHA Community Awards, which will be announced on Wednesday. Enough pre-amble, let's get on to the announcements!

The winner of the PC Specialist giveaway will also be announced soon, so stay tuned for that!

KitGuru says: Big CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners – and a sincere well done to the other companies who competed valiantly. Agree or disagree with the choices?  Hit us up over on Facebook and let us know!

Update 2: Apologies for the delay in announcement but we had some issues getting in touch with the winner. We've finally managed to track them down, so we are pleased to announce that the winner of the PC Specialist Fuscia X is… Bas Hoving from The Netherlands!

Thanks to everyone who entered!

Update: Voting for the KitGuru Community Awards 2018 has now closed. We'll announce the winner of the giveaway later this month.

Every year, we ask you – our valued readers – to spend a few minutes telling us which hardware you loved most this year. We really value your feedback and we KNOW that the brands you vote for really appreciate the support you give them!  To make things REALLY interesting this year, the chaps over at PC Specialist are making a very special system available – should you decide to vote and enter our prize draw!

After listening to our community and the manufacturers, this year's Community Awards will work in a slightly different way. We will be focused on brands. So, in the questionnaire below, we invite you to tell us your favourite brands for graphics, motherboards, gaming chairs and everything else that's important.

You DON'T have to vote in every category – and you DON'T have to enter the prize draw if you don't want to (but we hope you do!). Your votes and competition entries will go into the final count for the EHA Community Awards – to help decide the best brands from across the continent.

Voting starts NOW and ends on 16th October 2018. The winners of the KitGuru Community Awards will be announced on 22nd October, with the prize winner and EHA Community Awards winners being announced 2 days later – on 24th October 2018.

For now, here's a shot of the amazing prize to get your heart beating faster – and you can click here or on the image to enter the survey!

Standard terms apply. This survey is open to all KitGuru readers. We will not be sharing your individual data. If you choose to enter the prize draw, we will not be retaining your details longer than necessary to pick and announce a winner. Voting will cease early on 16th October (UK time), so please enter NOW if you want to be heard! All decisions made by KitGuru staff are final and there can only be one entry per person.

KitGuru says: It's time for the KitGuru community to speak up!.Good luck to everyone who enters the prize draw!

Today we reveal the winners of the 2017 European Hardware Community Awards! From nominations, to voting and final result – these awards are driven 100% by the huge community of technology enthusiasts who read the EHA member publications in 9 languages across the continent.

With a combined audience of more than 20 million technology enthusiasts, no other survey comes close to capturing the collective wisdom of the people that matter most, when it comes to the deciding the ‘Best of the Best' in the technology sector.

The community itself has been built over many, many years through the hard work and dedication of the various EHA member publications. Hundreds of thousands of expert articles, backed up by millions of individual tests, have been written and published by:-

  • KitGuru (UK)
  • Geeketic (Spain)
  • HardwareLuxx (Germany)
  • Hardware.Info (Netherlands)
  • SweClockers (Sweden)
  • Hardware Upgrade (Italy)
  • Lab 501 (Romania)
  • PurePC (Poland)
  • Cowcotland (France)

The European Hardware Association Community Awards 2017 not only showcase the best products being sold in Europe today, they also provide EHA members with valuable insight into what the market is thinking. Understanding what our community believes to be important, is vital when it comes to ensuring we continue to deliver the news, reviews and articles that YOU most want to read.

You will find the complete list of winners below.

KitGuru says: The results are in – Europe has spoken!   What is remarkable is how many of the European results were echoed in KitGuru's own reader awards. Just goes to show: Quality and innovation are universal truths.

The post KitGuru Reader Awards 2017 – Winners Announced! first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
These annual awards are all about you, the KitGuru reader. They give you the chance to tell us, the manufacturers and the market as a whole – who you really think is doing the best job. The categories cover everything from innovation to reliability, from core tech to graphics and peripherals. We thank all the KitGuru readers who nominated the finalists for this year's awards – as well as the thousands of you who took the time to vote for your favourite ‘Product of the year' in each category for 2017.

The whole process started at the beginning of November and is now complete. The winners are as follows:-

Each of these categories had, of course, a runner-up. Here's a gallery of the products that just missed out:-

One of the things that make these awards unique is that we use a 100% community-oriented voting system. Once you have chosen the nominees and voted for the winners, the KitGuru results also go toward deciding the European Hardware Association Community award winners – who will be announced shortly.

Our awards also included a special competition for the chance to win a GTX1060 graphics card and Razer gaming mouse. The level of entries was high, with over 99% of you entering your details!   The lucky winner this year is Andy Norbury from Wales.

KitGuru says: There were some surprises in this year's list – and you've helped add some products to our ‘Must get this into the Labs' list. Once again, a big THANK YOU for taking the time to share your opinions and experience – we really appreciate it!

Today sees the announcement of the 2016 European Hardware Community Awards. The products were nominated by the EHA’s readers and then voted for by a huge regional audience. No other survey reaches out to more than 20 million technology enthusiasts across the continent in 9 languages. All of the KitGuru Reader Awards votes have been included – so your influence has been felt!

The 2016 winners have been chosen through a 100% community-oriented voting system.

The readers who voted were drawn in to the community by the hundreds of thousands of expert articles, published by the members of the European Hardware Association:-

  • KitGuru (UK)
  • Hardware Info (Netherlands)
  • HardwareLuxx (Germany)
  • Hardware Upgrade (Italy)
  • SweClockers (Sweden)
  • PurePC (Poland)
  • Lab 501 (Romania)
  • GEEKNETIC (Spain)
  • Cowcotland (France)

As well as representing the very best hardware being sold in Europe today, the EHA Community Awards 2016 also provide another rich source of research – helping EHA members to understand which products are most interesting to the most important technology consumers in the region.

You will find the complete list of winners on the next page – with a graphic for each one attached.

The results are in – Europe has spoken!

Each KitGuru reader has their own opinion when it comes to which graphic cards, processors, chassis etc go into making the perfect rig. With 2 million readers visiting the site every month, 340,000 enthusiasts active in the KitGuru Facebook Community and up to 400,000 of you watching the videos we produce on a constant basis – we know that there is a ‘wisdom of the crowd' effect working away. The KitGuru Annual Reader Awards are the perfect way to express that wisdom.

First, the process of choosing the winners is entirely controlled by you.

Methodology
On 10th October, we opened the nominations and your votes decided which products would be voted for in each category. Voting started at the beginning of November and we received thousands of scores from you over a two week period.

Winners
Those scores have now been compiled, checked and used to discover the KitGuru Reader's Awards 2016 winners. The votes were also pooled with the other members of the European Hardware Association and the EHA Community Awards will be announced in a few hours time.

JUST before we present you with the list of winners for 2016, there's the small matter of the competition we ran alongside the votes. The lucky winner of the Amazon Echo is Taylor Sparks and we'll be dispatching his prize shortly.

Now on to the winning products!

After a couple of weeks of voting, we've had the thoughts and votes of several hundred of you on what you think the best hardware of the year is. However we know there's more of you out there with strong opinions on your hardware and we want to hear from you too. We'll even give one lucky voter an Amazon Echo by way of thanks.

Don't worry if you don't have a tonne of favourites – there are a lot of hardware categories this year. We're just looking for votes where you think they matter. If you're a graphics buff, tell us which GPU is your favourite. If you like cases, vote for the most aesthetically pleasing – it's up to you. You can vote in one category, or as many as you want.

Votes will also count toward the European Hardware Community Awards, so as well as choosing your winners for KitGuru, you will also be influencing the results across the continent. That's right, your vote could contribute to which companies slap a fancy logo on their packaging in the new year.

Better yet, at the end of the survey, you can choose to enter a prize draw to win an Amazon Echo. All you have to do is leave your details with us and we'll randomly select a winner when voting closes.

All votes and entries must be received before 13th November, with the winner chosen by the 21st. All decisions made by KitGuru staff are final.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru says: Thanks for taking the time out to do this guys. We really appreciate it.

In front of an audience of nearly 200 representatives of the largest technology companies in the world, the winners of the 2016 European Hardware Awards picked up their honours at the Taipei International Convention Centre on the even of Computex. As a founder member, KitGuru was on hand to co-present the awards as well as delivering some powerful new information about the technology market.

The extensive process for nominations and voting took place for more than a month and, for the first time, SweClockers (Sweden) joined KitGuru, Hardware.info (Netherlands), HardwareLuxx (Germany), Hardware Upgrade (Italy), HispaZone (Spain), Lab501 (Romania), CowCotLand (France) and PurePC (Poland) in creating this definitive list of the finest hardware on sale across Europe.

Together, these sites host more than 22 million visitors a year and have a combined database of more than 100,000 articles. Its that accumulation of technical expertise, gained by running millions of individual tests, that makes the European Hardware Awards possible. You can find out more about the European Hardware Association from www.EHA.Digital.

KitGuru Says: Enough of the preamble, on to the winners!
