Sapphire is launching a Radeon RX 6500 XT with 8GB of GDDR6 memory

As you might know, officially, the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT has 4GB of VRAM. However, it seems Sapphire will be releasing a unique 8GB model of the entry-level graphics card.

Information about the 8GB Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics is already available on Sapphire's official website. Despite the extra VRAM, the card still has the same 64-bit memory bus as the 4GB version. As for the memory speed, it will come clocked at 18Gbps. In addition, the website also shows the card will be factory overclocked, coming with a base clock of 2,695MHz (85MHz more than the reference design), boosting up to 2,855MHz (40MHz over the reference value).

Like the reference Radeon RX 6500 XT, this one will also have 1,024 stream processors. Available video outputs include a DisplayPort and an HDMI connector. All this is powered by a single 6-pin power connector and the PCIe interface, coming in with a total board power of 130W, 23W more than the 4GB model.

Sapphire didn't share the pricing of the Radeon RX 6500 XT 8GB graphics card, but the company says it's now available for sale.
