EKWB release new monoblock for Intel X299 platform

EK Water Blocks has announced a new custom cooling monoblock for the Intel X299 high end desktop platform. The EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Rampage VI Encore D-RGB is specifically engineered for the Asus ROG Rampage VI Extreme Encore edition motherboard and features D-RGB lighting compatible with Asus Aura Sync control.

The new EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Rampage VI Encore D-RGB monoblock is a complete all-in-one cooling solution for the ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Encore motherboard, this means it will improve cooling of both the CPU and the motherboard VRM to allow enthusiasts more overlocking headroom compared to traditional CPU coolers and the stock VRM cooling with integrated small fans.

EKWB’s Quantum products feature the company’s latest cooling engine with a high flow design that can be used with weaker or lower speed pumps. The EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Rampage VI Encore D-RGB monoblock is also equipped with addressable RGB lighting that connects directly to a motherboard 3-pin 5V RGB header. The RGB LED strip can be easily repositioned to allow for improved cable routing, or simply removed and replaced with custom LED lighting.

At the base of the monoblock is a nickel-plated thermal transfer plate with a top cover manufactured from a high-quality acrylic glass type material. Brass standoffs are pre-installed to the monoblock to provide a quick installation process and the monoblock is delivered with a CNC machined black anodised aluminium piece that acts as a mount for the stock I/O cover while providing some passive cooling for components under the I/O cover, such as the network chip.

EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Rampage VI Encore D-RGB monoblock is available for pre-order via the EK Water Blocks Webshop or official EKWB retailers priced at €169.90 and is expected to start shipping on 17th March 2020.
