The Steam Summer sale will kick off later this month

Each year, June is one of the biggest and most exciting months for gaming. Not only do we have E3 this month but most major platform holders will begin kicking off their big summer sales and Steam is no exception. This week, the dates for the Steam Summer sale leaked online, so if you are keeping your eye on anything, it might be wise to hold off for a little bit.

Steam sale dates tend to leak regularly nowadays as Valve gives all Steam developers a heads-up so that they can plan their own discounts accordingly. This year, the Steam summer sale should begin on the 25th of June at 6PM in the UK, 10AM on the US West Coast and 1PM on the US East Coast.

This isn't too surprising, as the Steam summer sale often falls at the end of June and runs through the first week of July. Valve often ties community events or mini-games in with these sales nowadays so we'll be looking forward to seeing what they have up their sleeve this time.

KitGuru Says: I don't pick up as many games as I used to during sale season but I have my eye on a few this year. Are any of you planning on picking anything up?
