Computex 2019: G.Skill showcases extreme memory overclocks and peripherals

G.Skill always has a big presence at Computex, in large part to show off the overclocking prowess of its RAM kits. This year is no different, as we got a good look at several live demonstrations of DDR4 RAM overclocked to extreme speeds, including a 384GB set running at 4,000MHz and a 16GB kit hitting 5,200MHz.

G.Skill always has something interesting to show off but this year was particularly impressive. On the extreme overclocking side of things, we got a look at a system running 384GB of DDR4 RAM in a 32GBx12 configuration, all running at 4GHz, which is insanely high given the capacity and number of modules involved. This was achieved through an ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme motherboard with an Intel Xeon W-3175X CPU.

Just as impressive is the new 5200MHz 16GB DDR4 kit that G.Skill has put together, complete with CL18-22-22-42 timings running on a system featuring an Intel Core i7-9700K and an MSI MPG Z390i Gaming Edge motherboard. The new DDR4-5000 kit from G.Skill lowers latency further to CL17-17-17-37 and up to 5GHz in speed. For HEDT users, G.Skill also has high freqeuncy 64GB memory kits on the way.

With the launch of X570, AMD is hoping to bolster Ryzen's memory capabilities and is supporting higher DDR4 RAM frequencies. G.Skill is already well equipped to handle this challenge and already has DDR4-4000MHz CL18 memory kits prepared, in addition to 32GB DDR4-3600MHz kits.

G.Skill does make other products outside of the memory realm though. During our visit, we saw a lovely looking new mechanical keyboard known as the KM360, complete with Cherry MX switches, a USB Type-C connector, Double ABS keycaps and pure while LEDs, keeping the whole thing looking very clean. G.Skill is also testing its hand at mice with the MD550, which is a dual-mode wireless mouse aimed at the travel market, rather than gamers.

KitGuru Says: Lots of good stuff from G.Skill this year, I am due a memory upgrade myself so I'll be keeping an eye out. Are any of you building a new system this year?
