Cooler Master SK630 Low Profile Mechanical Keyboard Review

Rating: 8.5.

When Cherry debuted its MX Low Profile mechanical switch back at CES 2018, we were promised several new keyboards using those new Low Profile switches. We've already seen the Corsair K70 MK2 RGB Low Profile, but today our attention turns to Cooler Master's SK630. The SK630 I have here is a tenkeyless (TKL) board, and it uses the Low Profile RGB Red switches. Priced at £129.99, could this be the perfect board for those who want to stay away from full-size mechanical switches?

While the Cooler Master SK630 is indeed tenkeyless, or 80% size, there is also a full-size board available, dubbed the SK650. We've even seen a 60% model on show before, too, known as the SK620 – though this is launching at a later date.

Back to the SK630, its key features include per-key RGB lighting, a brushed aluminium top plate, and both 6-key and n-key rollover, to name just three. With the rest of the SK630's functionality detailed in this review, is it good enough to justify its £130 price tag? Let's find out.
