Ubisoft brings back uPlay+ free trial period for July

Back at E3 2019, Ubisoft announced its own foray into subscription gaming with uPlay+. Following on from Origin Access, Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Now, uPlay+ aims to offer a Netflix style library of content for a monthly fee, with all future Ubisoft games set to be added the day of release. If you missed out on the free trial period back when the service first launched, then you have another chance to check it out for free now.

There are a ton of games on uPlay+ already, from all of the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry series, to newer games like The Division 2, Trackmania, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint etc. Of course, deluxe editions of future games also get added, so the library will include the likes of Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion later this year. If you play games with frequent updates like Rainbow Six Siege or The Division 2, then uPlay+ membership also grants access to new DLCs and expansions once they come out.

As part of Ubisoft's promotion for Ubisoft Forward this month, the publisher is offering a 7-day free trial of uPlay+ on PC, which you can claim any time between now and the 27th of July. You can choose to cancel and not renew if you don't plan on staying subscribed.

Usually, uPlay+ membership costs £12.99/$14.99 per month, which is on the more expensive side as far as gaming subscriptions go. However, it can be worth it to just subscribe for a couple of months a year to access the most recent releases.

KitGuru Says: uPlay+ is something I've been using myself to stay on top of Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six Siege and The Division 2. Have many of you tried it out before? Are you going to test it out with the free trial?
