ASUS set to reveal its first Ryzen-powered ROG gaming laptop

It looks like Ryzen is set to expand further this year, we've already caught wind of upcoming datacenter and HEDT CPUs but now, it looks like Ryzen-powered laptops are also on the way this year. This week, ASUS has begun teasing its first ROG gaming laptop to be powered by a Ryzen processor.

Over on the Republic of Gamers YouTube channel, ASUS has posted a brief 30-second video that doesn't give much away in the form of exact specifications but does confirm that ASUS is working on launching AMD-powered gaming laptops.

The laptop will be unveiled at Computex next week and you can count on KitGuru being there to cover it. We will be attending the show this year in full force to bring you all of the juicy bits of news as soon as they happen.

KitGuru Says: Over the last few years, AMD hasn't really had much of a place in the gaming laptop market. However, with the launch of Ryzen, it looks like that could change. I'll be looking forward to seeing how it stacks up against other offerings currently on the market.
